Trekking Through the Wilderness Day One

Wow! So much filming done this past weekend! Saturday we were doing movie stuff all day until midnight and Sunday we were filming until around 9:30! Needless to say, we have a lot of info to share!

We have a few scenes in the movie of what we like to call "trekking." It is simply where we are trying to get to some place and have us climbing or hiking through vast epic scenery to get to our destination. Get to where? Wouldn't you like to know!

So we started off the Saturday filming by heading on over to Will's house! Before we went out, though, we decided it would be a splendid idea to go to a spaghetti dinner at the firehouse and play with the new Nintendo DSi's camera!

Just keep smiling, buddy...

Apparently we are twins

Needless to say, we had a BLAST! Afterward, we went back to Will's and got our spy gear on.
Okay... so Josh didn't actually have a spy outfit since he was the awesome cameraman!

To make a long story short, the scenery was epic and the filming went great! In fact, it looked so good, we even got this new promo shot!

It's crazy the colors and shapes some clouds can make!

After it got too dark to film and we were too tired to go on, we decided to head back to my house. But not before we went to 7/11 and got some Slurpees!

Mmmm... Slurpee

Later we went back to my house to film the Jimmy Rap in front of the green screen. But that is another post for another time...

Island Wars Elders and Promo Pics!

Well it has been a while since our last post, and we have been hard at work. Since the last post we have almost finished all filming in front of the green screen and even filmed some scenes with some extras! Special thanks goes out to Billy, John, Melissa, and of course Bryce! They all came down to the school to film a scene for the movie. Bryce Wiley (if you guys remember him from 7th Grade!) even came all the way from Winchester! I suppose I should also mention that the school was nice about it too, and Mr. Oblas let us use his conference room for around two hours.

For the scene Billy Bacci played Gandalf, John Smith played Superman, Melissa Modolo played Laura Croft (Tomb Raider), Eliseo Perez played Jesus, and Bryce Wiley played well... Bryce the Stand-Up Comedian!

I am actually going to put up some pics of everyone in costume, but we haven't uploaded that segment to my computer yet. So expect another post soon with more pictures! But onto the original reason for this post!

As some of you may have already seen from either the Facebook Group or my Island Wars Album, we have been working on Island Wars promo pics to let people know about the movie. So far we think they have turned out pretty sweet, but we thought we would let you all take a look anyway!

Perhaps the signature promo pic of the movie so far, the explosions were obviously cause by us

Jimmy McGrimmy actually has a rap song in the movie where he spells out his entire evil plan through phat beats. If you haven't heard the song yet, hear the Jimmy Rap at the Umbrellaman Myspace!

Just a fun pic taken for no reason. If you guys don't yet know, Will and I are secret DMV agents in the movie.

I actually just finished this picture yesterday! Josh plays Agent Charlie in the movie, who is one of the DMV's top agents. Will and I report to him.

But don't worry! There are more promo pics to come! I am trying to find my SD Card so I can finish Eliseo's as I type this. Eliseo plays Commander Horace Goodwin in the movie, who is one of Jimmy's top henchmen in the alternate dimension. I am also wondering whether I should make a promo pic for some of the extras, simply because some of them looked awesome. The Gandalf costume we made Billy wear, for instance, was quite hilarious! If any of you extras want a pic, I'd be happy to make one for you! Just send me a message or something.

Okay so it's not Billy, but this is a pic of me in part of the Gandalf costume right after we got it. I can't believe I actually put this up...

But this post is WAYYY too long already! So to make a long story short: there are new promo pics for the movie, the filming is coming along nicely, and I can't think of a third thing. Oh! And there may be Island Wars shirts coming, so watch for those! We'll keep on filmin'!

Musical Updates!

Hey everybody,

Just an update here on what's happening on the musical side of things.

Island Wars, if you are not aware, is partly a musical/rock opera, I've been writing several songs for the movie, one of which is entitled "I Can't Shake Jake".

The crazy man pictured above is in love with a dog. Yes, it is true, and the song details the amazing tale of there love.
I recently finished up the guitars, drums, effects, etc. I brought Sam into the studio a few days ago and we recorded some harmonies for the chorus. This song is my favorite on the album so far and it's gonna turn out great!

In other musical news, a couple months ago I finished up recording the wonderful song that Sam and I wrote in honor of a little event we like to call Christmas. Here's a little video detailing the vocal recording process. ENJOY (or else) listen to the finished version here: or at

Goodbye Forever,
